Re: When I open up an app it runs for a minute than crashes. I need help to get it back to working

How about providing more information in the text box. Just a title is never a good idea.

What Roku device? Model number and OS version/build are helpful. Settings > System > About

What apps does this happen with? Don't say "all." If multiple, list three, so we can attempt to duplicate the issue.

An actual description of what's going on helps. Imagine we're not sitting there with you and seeing what you see. Imagine instead that we're on the other side of the Internet and are totally dependent on your description of what is happening.

Give us something to work with and we'll see what we can do.

It happens when using prime video and neflix. I open the hem up run for a mintier than closes and back to Home Screen.

@Laracowboys9

I'm going to first suggest the old chestnut "try turning it off and on again." You haven't tried that, since uptime is over two days, based on that image. I'm talking an actual reboot using the menu system, not simply using the "off" button on the remote, since that actually just puts it in a sleep mode, not actually powering it fully off. Try a reboot of the device.

Settings > System > Power > Restart (not sure of the actual menu, as that's a Roku TV, which I don't have, but it is something similar to that).

Try that, then see if the apps launch.

These things are just special purpose computers. Like their big brothers sometimes clearing things out by restarting them can correct problems. (Note that if yours is a Roku TV with "Fast start" enabled, turning it off and back on just puts it into and out of a standby state and does NOT give you a complete restart.)

On a Roku TV you'll find the System restart option under Settings > System > Power.

If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and wait for it to restart.

@Laracowboys9-

Glad you've got it working.

If the restart you're referring to is the Settings > System > Power > Restart system I suggested, that is not properly referred to as a "Factory restart" and could mislead others.

A Factory reset completely wipes the Roku's memory via Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset.  After a Factory reset you'll be setting the Roku up all over again as though it had just come out of the box, including linking it to your Roku account and setting everything up.  If you have many channels that require authentication and/or logging in, this can be quite a lot of work, especially if you've lost track of the passwords needed.  Factory reset should be saved as a last resort for when none of the easier solutions you attempt work.
