What do do when an app isn't the most recent version

I was having issues with the Paramount Plus app missing episodes of shows, and contacted them. They asked me to update the app to the most recent version 8.0.36.  Easy I thought.

Went to my Roku to update, and got a message all channels were up-to-date. Version listed is 6•build 20210909, clearly not the most recent.

Roku itself is up-to-date. Can anyone tell me how to get the most recent version of the app?

Thanks!!!

@pjeffers84-

Version numbers may be specific to your Roku model for some channels.

On my Streaming Stick+ (3810) I have Paramount+ ver 5.6 - build 2021070304 and it also says it's up to date.

But for the belt-and-suspenders approach, this should assure you've got the latest version for your model:

Remove/reinstall procedure:

  1. Highlight channel on home screen.
  2. Press * key and choose Remove channel option.
  3. IMPORTANT- DON'T SKIP:
    Restart the Roku to clear its memory via Settings > System > System restart. (On a Roku TV, this is Settings > System > Power > System restart.)
  4. Reinstall the channel. Note it will be added to the END of the channel grid.
  5. If channel requires a login, you may need to log in anew.
