Watching channels on an android device

Jump to solution

I would like to watch HBO max or AMC on my tablet. I downloaded the remote app but when I click on HBO I get what looks like a remote control but nothing happens when I click anything. I don't want to caste or mirror the channel, Is there not just a way to watch something or do I need to get the channels some other way?

The Roku app on your tablet is intended primarily as a remote control device.  The only channel you can view on the app is Roku's own The Roku Channel.  Roku is not licensed to distribute other channels, including ones you have subscribed to through Roku and normally view on The Roku Channel, in any way other than on an actual Roku device.

If you subscribed to those channels directly with the channels on their websites, you should be able to install the apps for those channels directly to your tablet from the Android or Apple play/app store and view them that way.
