Roku is opening the Roku Channel App and running ads every time I go to the Roku input on the TV.

I have a New Roku Ultra that is opening the Roku Channel App and running ads when my new Samsung TV goes to the Roku input (HDMI 2) it will even reinstall the app if I delete it to try and stop it from doing this every time I go to the Roku Ultra. The CEC “1 Touch control” was checked so we could just push the Home button on the Roku to switch to the Roku which was working. I tried unchecking the 1 Touch control to disable CEC but the issue continues. And now after many power cycles the menus have changed and the 1 touch option is no longer available in the setting options so I can no longer enable the CEC control.

When I check to see if the Roku Ultra is on the latest firmware version is say no updates are available at this time so it’s up to date.

This is a new setup with a new Samsung QN75Q90D and Sonos Arc Ultra connected to the HDMI 3 eARC input and the Roku Ultra is connected to the HDMI 2 input and a Cable box is connected to the HDMI 1 input, the Sonos Arc has to be connected to the eARC input for the volume control to work properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@SDG72

The CEC 1-touch feature for Roku is located under Settings/System/Control other Devices

However, I believe some users that experienced this issue with Samsung TVs traced issue back to the "Universal Remote" setting on the Samsung remote.

Go into your TV settings (using Samsung remote, not Roku remote) and see if toggling off the Universal Remote (or similar language) helps you out.  Appears that this Universal Remote setting may be viewed by Roku as simulating a Play/Pause action that activates a function with a lower left ad on the Roku Home Screen when present.
