Roku Smart Sound Bar unable to play Discovery+ Content

I have a Model 9101X - Roku Smart Soundbar running software version 10.5.0 build 4174-95 that used to work with Discovery+.

But now I get an Error message saying that it is unable to playback the protected DRM content. I have tried everything that the Discovery+ support team has suggested and I am still getting the DRM error. Which is exclusive to playing Discovery+ content. Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and Prime Video are working.

Discovery+ works on my Roku TV and with my Roku 3.

Any Suggestions?

Did they suggest you remove, restart, and add the channel again?  I don't know if it will help, but give it a try.

  1. Remove the channel by highlighting it on the Home Screen and pressing the * button on your remote.  Choose "Remove channel"
  2. Restart the Roku from Settings->System->System restart
  3. Check for updates from Settings->System->System update
  4. Add the channel again from Streaming channels
