Are they not legally responsible to warn you before they renew your subscription to a channel like Disney and then tell you you don’t get a refund???
Every streaming subscription with which I am familiar, either through a third party like Roku or directly with the channel, is nonrefundable. You are pre-paying for a specified subscription period and it auto renews and bills you when that period runs out. When you cancel the subscription it prevents the auto-renewal but the subscription stays in force and can be used until the balance of the pre-paid period expires. These conditions are explained on screen and must be accepted when subscribing (you know, all that stuff you don't bother to read at the time).
If a streaming service sends you a reminder as a customer service that your subscription is about to renew unless you cancel that would be great, but few, if any, do.
