Recent channels on menu not working

The recent channels section of the menu isn't working. Is there a way to register this?

  • Hi, Community users!

    As an update to this thread, our team would like to inform you to ensure that you have set your Roku devices to the latest software update to see if the issue persists.

    Follow the instructions below to manually check for software and app updates.

    1. Press Home 
       
       on your Roku remote
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select System
    4. Select Software update
    5. Select Check Now to manually check for updates
    • Tip: The System update screen displays the current software and build version, along with the date and time of the latest update.

    If there is new software available or there are updates for your apps, then your Roku device will download and install them automatically and once completed, your device will reboot.

      Thank you for letting us know about the playback issues you've encountered on the Now That's TV app on your Roku. We'd be happy to suggest some steps to help you troubleshoot.

      Before we proceed, could you please share any error messages prompted if there are any? Also, is this a subscription issue? Are you having trouble logging into your account on this app?

      In the meantime, kindly follow the steps provided below precisely to refresh the system of this app:

      1. Remove the channel: navigate to your Home screen, move to the right, highlight the app, press Star*, then select Remove channel
      2. Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart
      3. Re-install the channel: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel

    • Are you referring to the recent channels on your Live TV guide?
    • What are you currently seeing in this category?

    In the meantime, we recommend rebooting your Roku system under Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart.

      I did reboot the system and the recent channels are still not appearing on the menu.

        Roku device model Hisense model 6series-58, serial number X019003ESU24device ID S08C643ESU24, and software OS/version 13.1.4 • build 1512-CH

  • I recently purchased a Streaming Stick 4K.

    When I'm in the Live TV on the Roku Channel, the Recents tab shows nothing, even after watching several different channels.

    I had the previous streaming stick and Recents worked fine--sometimes delayed, though.

    Did Roku disable the Recents feature?

    My software version is 13.1.4 Build 1510-E6.

      I just bought my Roku TV. I see all the channel groups, like ALL CHANNELS, FAVORITES, and RECOMMENDED. But the group for recent channels I have viewed, do not populate in the RECENTS group. It has been a couple weeks and the group does not populate. I have a Hisense model 6Series-50 with Hardware ID L201X. HELP!

      Thanks for letting us know about this. We'd be happy to share some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve this. 

      Have you tried rebooting your Roku device's system to see if the Recent category on the Live TV guide reappears?  To do so, navigate to your Home screen. Scroll up or down to select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart

      Keep us posted on how it goes and we'll go from there.
