Please add a Twitch Channel

Jump to solution

There is a Twitch app on Roku. It’s not good. You say contact Twitch! I did they no longer support their own app. The app has no feature to remove it once it’s been added. Since Twitch doesn’t support it. Please Remove it from the Roku service.

Re: Please add a Twitch Channel

Hi @Frank1968,

We appreciate you taking your first post in the Roku Community!

Please note that you can watch the Twitch channel on a Roku device, but not with an official app on the TV. As mentioned, Amazon pulled the Twitch app from the Roku Channel Store in 2017. For a while, there was an unofficial app that would simply install the old official Twitch app on your Roku. However, that stopped working in March 2022.

In addition, if the channel you want to remove has an active subscription and was billed to your Roku account, the subscription must first be canceled before the channel can be removed from your device.

  • Note:
    • If a subscription is canceled before the end of the billing cycle, you can continue to access the channel until the current billing cycle ends.
    • Channels cannot be removed at Roku.com.

Please try doing this and see if it helps with what you're experiencing. Let us know how it goes.

All the best,
Chel
