New Roku update brought back ads on the Home Screen.

hide ads on my Home Screen, but now it appears they are back and the trick longer works. Anybody find a new workaround?

Re: New Roku update brought back ads on the Home Screen.

Hi @mandarbank,

Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!

We appreciate you for letting us know about the behavior you are seeing with your Roku device after an update and we would be happy to look further into this issue but we will need more details.

Can you please provide us with the following information:

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About.
  • Does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
  • tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
  • steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
  • What are you seeing on screen? Can you provide a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing?

We look forward to hearing from you and looking closely into this issue. Thank you!

Best regards,
Mary

Re: New Roku update brought back ads on the Home Screen.

I want to know this too. My son is scared and petrified of many of the ads that pop on. We turned on the TV to find the ads back and of course it was an ad that freaked my son out and it took a good 30 minutes to calm him down, and now he doesn't even want us to turn the TV on because he's scared the ads that scare him will pop up. We need a way to filer the ads or remove. If Roku would have address the filtering ads option so many families have been requesting for years, people would not have had to resort to removing them completely.
