NBA channel won't open or delete

I am trying to watch NBA games using the NBA app on my Roku. I am able to use it on my other Roku TVs but it will not work on my Roku express. When I select the app it doesn't open. When I attempt to remove the app so I can reinstall it just says removing for hours. I have also checked for updates  Can anyone assist?
