My Tamashakhane channel just disappeared and now not even on the menu search
Seems Roku has removed Tamashakhaneh. Many elders are suffering because of this unjustifiable decision. They have lost their ONLY source of entertainment in their native language. If troubles may have occurred in Canada, why remove the broadcast in the U.S.? I suggest contacting the news media, Roku, bureau of consumer affairs, and putting in a complaint.
Per multiple other posts, it was pulled because they did NOT have the rights to stream what they were carrying. There are being sued by others, and Roku could get sued if they allowed them to continue being available on Roku devices.
@awvawz It's unfortunate, but it's completely justifiable. If the media is being offered illegally, Roku must remove the content or they become liable. Streaming providers must have the legal right to stream their media. This is either done by being the owners of the content, or by licensing it from the owners. This channel did not own the content, and did not license it for streaming, therefore they were offering it illegally.
The Roku end user licensing agreement states that Roku has the right to remove a channel at any time. This is one of those times they are required to do so.
Yes i have the same issue, and very frustrated , i must get the Tamasha khane back
