After using the MLB TV app on my Roku for several weeks, I had difficulty logging on to view my team's games. I was informed by MLB TV tech support that the app no longer supports my Roku device following a recent MLB app update. Has anyone else experienced this problem and do I have any recourse other than buying a newer Roku model?
You got bad info from a poorly trained support person; however, MLB forgot to add the 4670 to its supported devices (the page is probably 2 years old):
https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/help-center/roku-requirements
Supported Models:
3700X, 3710X, 3800X, 3810X, 3811X, 3900X, 3910X, 3920X, 3921X, 3930X, 3931X, 4200X, 4210X, 4230X, 4400X, 4620X, 4630X, 4640X, 4660X, 4662X, 4800X, 5000X, 6000X, 7000X, 8000X, A000X, C000X, C000GB, D000X
Notice the 4670 is missing (as are devices newer than the 4800, such as the 4801, 3820, 3821, 3940, 3941, etc)
The issue is related to something else - contact their tech support again and push an account/server-side authentication/provisioning problem angle.
I also have at 4670X and have not been able to access the live audio streams using the MLB.TV app -- they worked fine until maybe two weeks ago and have not worked since. Live video works fine but this does not help because 90% of my games are blacked out. I have reinstalled the app and even performed a factory reset with no luck.
