How to remove Roku added chanels from top of menu

I have 6 Roku Boxes or TV's in my house.  One of the updates added channels I cant move from the top of the screen.  I have had Roku for a long time and dont like to be forced to have apps I dont use in my way.  Is this going to stay like this?   I feel this is something Apple would do.  I will move to another system if freedom to choose my apps is not restored.  In the USA we have freedoms lost every year.  Why Roku?  Is there a reason for this?

    A picture would help to know exactly what you're referring to, but go into Settings->Home screen to see if they can be hidden there.
