All of my streaming channels crash after like 30 seconds
I have an onn roku tv. I've double checked that all software is up to date. All of my streaming channels like hulu, netflix, amazon, hbo will ALL crash within 30 seconds of starting a video. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling them to no avail.
To top it off, there is no useable favorites function in the "live tv" option, so the one source I do have is extremely annoying. Then you try to find someone to help and you just get a runaround on Roku's site that leads to this useless forum.
Has anyone else experienced the crashing and found a solution?
Can you please provide more specific information about the issue you are experiencing? When removing a channel, are you making sure to restart your Roku TV before adding the channel back again?
If you are still unable to resolve the issue, can you please provide us the following information: -Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About) -does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button) -tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times) -steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing

This happens all the time now. You see dozens of "solutions" that add up to random things: delete and add the channel back (really, every time?), unplug your tv for 30 second, stand on one foot and sing happy birthday....
It seems like a buffering issue that is software related rather than hardware. I've been experiencing this for a year now and all I can say is if Roku can't fix it then I'll try a different TV.
We recommend starting here to troubleshoot channel issues: Follow these steps in order:
1. Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the * key on your remote, and choose 'Remove channel'.
2. Next, restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. (For Roku TV Settings>System>Power>System restart)
3. Once your player/TV starts up again, go to 'Streaming Channels' on the Home screen, and add the channel back once more.

In addition, you may also get the latest Hulu channel version by checking for a channel update using your * button on the channel tile, or going to Settings for a System Update there. Then, restart your player.
