Are you following the onscreen instructions precisely? I can't speak to TruTV, but normally how these things work is that you go to the website given onscreen (e.g., https://www.trutv.com/activate ) and then it asks you for your provider. Spectrum wouldn't be asking for the code - TruTV would.
