Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.

After a message from Danny it seems that everything is fine as of now. i went back and did another app update after which it showed that the app updated after several earlier attempts. still showing version 10.5.0
thanks for the help. iwill let you know if it reverts back.
