Not recording video, only pictures.

My cameras used to record video, usually about 15 seconds each. Now, it records "motion" but only shows a picture. No more video, NONE. I have done all the things posted on this site to fix this problem. 

  1. Ensure that the Roku Smart Home app and camera firmware are up to date.
  2. Ensure that motion and sound are turned on in the Events Recording setting.
  3. Check if there are no event recording schedules.
  4. Restart the modem and router, and ensure that the camera is connected to the network and receiving enough connection.
  5. Restart Camera.
  6. Restart the Roku Smart Home App and try to sign out and sign back in.

I did everything above but still no video. anyone have any other ideas.

Does your camera have a subscription? Since the feature requires a camera subscription to record a video.

This is also my issue and yes my subscription is up to date and paid. And all I have is a picture when it says motion

These are not helpful and you can’t get to support personal for assistance. Getting totally discussed with this.  Please help I’m paying for monitoring and can’t get it to work.

Take a look at my account and you will see how many times I have tried to get this is work.  It took me several days to get into my account. So then you go and adjust everything and then it still doesn’t work it’s not to user friendly for me. And there was no way to contact Roku.  Please email me with the step by step direction.  Thank you!!

Yes it does I can get the picture not the video.

One of my cameras started to save pictures instead of videos a few days ago. Other cameras are fine. Did not change any settings. I've turned off and on the camera a few times and reconnected. Still not right. Am I missing something??
