Error code 20202 on Roku Wire-Free Video Doorbell SE

I am getting error code 20202, problem with wireless network. I follow all the steps to reset it including resetting the router. The only thing I found that works is if I delete everything, including the device in the app and reinstall everything. That works for a few days to a few weeks before it happens again. The Wi-Fi router is literally right next to the chime plugin, and the doorbell is less than 5 ft away from both of those. I haven't even had this for a year and it's caused nothing but problems. It will ring when someone presses the doorbell, but the camera almost never comes up. I'm at my wit's end with this, I do hard resets to fix it and then it goes right back doing what it was before. I've checked the settings in the app and everything is correct. According to the app it's connected to the internet and the signal is strong. Is there any suggestions besides what's already written down, because those don't work.

  • Hi everyone,

Thank you for your patience as we work on this issue.

Here's an update as of 4.2.25: The latest app version (3.2.4) should fix this issue.

Please update the app and see if the new firmware for the Roku Smart Home app is available. Let us know if this fixes your issue. If the update isn't available right away, try checking again after some time.

    Cheers,
    Roku Community Team

  • I have the same problem,I have to uninstall app, reinstall it, then 2 or 3 days later same thing again. If I look at account on Smart home app before uninstalling it, no email address or any of my info is there. After reinstalling app all my info is there. It's got so bad I am gonna trash an $80 Roku and get a Ring doorbell camera

I have the same problem. I have 5 other cameras working great, so it's not the my system. Please find a better solution because that one doesn't fix it.

Same thing happing to me.. I love the automated reply that doesn't help any further then basic troubleshooting. I am a little disappointed since we did switch over to all Roku cameras, we have have 5 total but this doorbell is the only one with issues. I wouldn't be so upset if they actually had someone to assist you with the problem, however it is most likely just a bad product.

  • I'm having that same issue right now, have done everything and still won't work. Camera doesn't come up and tried deleting it from the app and it won't get deleted. Never had this problem before, get frustrated. Restarted my wifi, disconnected the chime, started it again and still won't work. Don't want to have to delete the app and start all over, but might have to try that.
