Doorbell Working But Blue Light Fading in and out

Jump to solution

Without ANY quality support regarding install from Roku, I successfully hardwired my Wireless/Wired Roku doorbell model DB1000X. Everything is working great minus the blue light still flashing indicating it is trying to connect to the network, however it is fully connected and all functions are working properly. I have seen others with the same issue but no fix regarding this. You would think by now Roku could fix this issue with a software update however considering the “customer support” I have received so far that is almost laughable at this point. Has anyone (non-Roku staff) found a solution to this?

Also FYI the instruction videos they will give you call for a fused jumper wire in your current chime box (for wired installation replacing existing old school doorbell) is incorrect. The fuse is no longer required with this model just the simple jumper provided to the front and trans terminal of your chime box. I was only able to verify this through wyze as they manufacture this product. Roku suggested many ludicrous options such as buying my own fused jumper or exchanging the product (you will still receive the same exact wires 😂). Their final statement to me was they do not sell a product that is both battery and hardwire compatible, even after sending them a picture of their own product box that’s states as such. any help from non Roku staff would be appreciated as I am on the verge of purchasing Ring products instead. These products work great but the customer support is very uneducated about their own products.

Hi @Tkart13,

Greetings from the Roku Community!

We would be pleased to help you further with your concern regarding the status light on the Roku doorbell camera not matching. Please try to remove the camera on your Roku smart home app by selecting the Roku doorbell camera, tapping the gear icon or settings on the upper right side concern, and deleting the device. After you have successfully removed the Roku camera, re-set it up back again by tapping the plus icon, and please make sure that you are following the steps that are showing on your Roku smart home app.
