I was charged one dollar by Roku this afternoon about 4:45 PM

they came out out of my checking account, but I don’t see where it’s in my Roku payment history

That is normally a temporary/test charge to determine if you have a valid credit card/bank card account.  Did you recently sign up for a subscription?  If so, that charge should disappear, and the subscription charge will occur.

If you didn't sign up for a subscription, then it is also possible that someone has hacked your account and is testing to see if they can use your card.   If that is the case, I would contact your bank/credit card company.
