Roku account (remove old account scenario)

I purchased a roku tv from someone a few months ago and i just recently decided to try to watch something other than netflix and youtube. I cant download any subscription because it seems someone else already had it set up. Is there anyway i can delete the previous info and put my own since I've purchased it from them?

You need to do a factory reset, after set up your own account and then sign back into each app again. If you have access to the menu:

 settings> system> advanced system settings> factory reset> follow prompts

Welcome to the Roku Community!

You can update your payment information from your device or by signing into my.roku.com. 

Update credit card details from your Roku device

  1. Press Home home button on Roku remote on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select Payment method and continue to one of two options
     
    1. Update payment methodUpdate your existing credit card information, such as expiration date.

      Payment method settings screen - update payment method
       
    2. Add payment method. Add a new credit card to your Roku account.

      Payment method settings screen - add payment method
       
  4. Enter your payment information in each field as it appears on your credit card.

    On-screen add payment card screen
     
  5. Select Save card

Update payment information on your account

  1. Go to my.roku.com on your computer or smartphone
  2. If prompted, sign in to your Roku account. For help signing in, learn what to do if you have forgotten your email address or password.
  3. Click or tap the Update under the Payment method
  4. Complete all required fields and click Save
