    Long Press Mute Function Disabled

    I have multiple Roku devices. The main unit I use is a Roku 4670X ULTRA. For over a year now I have been using this device every night. I use the YouTube app and access one of the 10 to 12 hour selections of relaxing/healing music. Once watching the video I have been able to long press (3 seconds) the mute button to get the TV display to turn off (go black) while keeping the audio working. A few daya ago this stopped working. I have spent multiple sessions on the phone with Roku support (under Support reference #: 13120646) but have made no progress. The last promise to call me back was apparently not true, no one called, so i was lied to by support. I have identified the issue on my own. I can see that the ULTRA was updated to software version 15.0.4 build 5531 on 10/8/2025, which is when this feature stopped working. I also have a Roku Express and a Roku Premiere + that have not been used for a while so I hooked up the Roku Premiere + to the involved TV and paired up the remote that I first experienced the issue with. The long press feature works fine with that device. I checked and found the software version on that device is 14.6.4 build 9915. I also checked the Roku Express with an even older version of software and the feature is working properly. CLEARLY this indicates a bug in the 15.0.4 build 5531 software. PLEASE get the development team to correct what has been broken by that software update.

    Roku TV Update 15.0.4 Breaks Brightness Settings"

    After the Roku TV update 15.0.4, there's no change to the brightness settings (lowest, low, normal, etc.). I've already performed a factory reset, and the problem persists. I've tried contacting support, but they haven't offered a solution or acknowledged the issue. It's a real shame; I wouldn't recommend the Roku TV system at all. They don't listen to their users

    TCL ROKU TV & Hotwire Fision issues after latest upgrade

    All my TCL Roku TV HDMI ports no longer recognize my Hotwire Fision TV+BOX after the Roku software upgrade to 15.0.4. I see a Roku software upgrade to version 15.0.4 was applied to my TCL TVs on 11/15/2025. My Hotwire Fision TV_BOX (streaming service) no longer work an any of these TVs. It appears the HDMI ports don't recognize the Hotwire boxes anymore. I see no way to roll back the upgrade to get my Hotwire services back.

    Closed captioning won't turn on after an update

    Wondering if anybody else has noticed the Closed Captions suddenly quit working sometimes with the new Software version 15.0.4? I know it is a software issue, because they will be working fine then all of the sudden quit working. I have also discovered that pressing the back 10 second button can cause them to go away. But then if I press the back button again they also will come back. But they also sometimes just quit working all of the sudden too. Rebooting the Roku always seems to fix it for a while until they decide to do it again. It happens on multiple apps. I have noticed it on AMC+, Paramount+, Disney+, and HBOMAX. Again I have noticed this since the new software update 15.0.4 Build 5534.

    Audio Distortion Following Update

    I have a Roku Streaming Stick Plus model 3830R that I've had for less than a month. Yesterday it took a software update and since then anything thing I stream has an audio distortion. It had worked perfectly before that. I've not changed any settings on the TV or the soundbar. Current software version is 15.0, serial number is X03700FEJC5G. Two examples: Prime video watching the movie Black Bag a movie first aired in 2025 had it last night and anything I've watched today on YouTube Premium. I got this stick only recently because you introduced a couple of software glitches in the 3820R2 and after a couple of months with no fix I opted for this. Maybe you should stop updating. Given that history is it possible to roll these back to the prior software version?

    TCL Roku TV Blank OTA TV

    TCL Roku TV model 65R625 All OTA channels give a black screen with no sound. I have tried restarting the TV. I've tried resetting the TV by unplugging and pressing power for 30 seconds. I've also successfully rescanned for channels where it was able to find all the broadcast channels, but still black screens. This has been an issue since the last update of 11/6/25 to version 15.1.4.

    OS 15.1.4 query/media-player Expired

    Hello Roku Community Team After my Roku Ultra device upgraded its system to OS v15.1.4 build 1500, the ECP command for querying media playback information (query/media-player) no longer returns playback progress 、duration and other related information. Is this command being deprecated, or will there be a new command to replace it? Below is the content of the official API documentation:

    Software update rollback option

    How can I roll back to the original OS of our Roku TV? Each "update" that comes out makes the TV more and more frustrating to use and it is so unresponsive now. Very very very frustrating when All I want to do is go to the OTA Antenna stations but I have to sit and wait for all the other "features" to load, and then the controls lag making wrong selections increasingly common. I'm never going to buy a Roku TV again if this is what the experience is for all of them. Seems this is the case for all "smart" home products these days.

    Roku Premiere turns TV back on after latest update

    My Roku Premiere started turning the tv back on, seems like it shuts off at first when turn the tv off but then after a minute or so it comes back on and causes the tv to turn back on. It has been doing it for a few days now. I looked at settings/updates etc. seems it updated on 10/28/2025 to software version 15.0.4 Anyone else experiencing this?

    Miracast lag after update to OS 15.0.4

    I'm running Windows 11 and my TV is Hisense Model 7Series -43. After the TV updated to OS 15.0.4, when I connect to it wirelessly (using Miracast) the name of the connection changed to rcast-[computer] when it had just been [computer], and it prompted me to allow the connection for the first time since I initially set it up. It took several minutes to finish the connection, and afterwards it was very pixelated and laggy. Sound is fine, but the picture quality is unwatchable. Nothing has changed on my computer (I have all system updates turned off by setting the network to "metered connection", so I know Microsoft didn't sneak anything in). My network speed is 612mb down, 495mb up, so I know it's not a slow connection. Other apps, including Plex (media server to TV) are working normally. It's only the direct stream from Windows 11 that doesn't work.
