Roku not connecting to Wifi
I have two Rokus in upstairs bedrooms. One is no longer connecting to the internet, tells me that the signal strength is weak. I have tried everything to get it to work, and nothing. I know it's not the wifi since, the other Roku in the bedroom next door is working properly. Device type: Roku Premiere Serial number: YH008Y813552599Views0likes2CommentsNew Roku Express not connecting to network that old Roku Express connects to happily.
My partner’s dad really liked my Roku Express so I bought him his own one for when we have left after Christmas. Mine connects fine. The new one straight out of the box will not detect any networks at all. It briefly detected all local networks, refused to connect and will now not even display a list of local networks at all. If I click “Scan again” i get a pop up that says “Looking for wireless networks…” which flashes up for barely a split second and then disappears. It won’t connect when I select “Private Network” and type in the SSID and password either. We are certain we are typing the correct password. This persists even after router reset and Roku reset. I know it’s not an issue with the 2.4GHz/5GHz network banding as the other Express connects just fine. Is the new Roku broken?583Views0likes4CommentsRoku Streaming stick having an issue with error code when updating

I am having the exact same issue. Roku Ultra's not connecting to my wired network. I have bought several new devices and they either will not work out of the box on my wired network (wireless does work) or they will work for a few months then just stop working. I have done everything this string says. Even went back to factory defaults, new ethernet cable, etc. I fixed the Roku in my living room by going to the Roku Ultra Lite. I found this works, well at least so far. The Roku Ultras obviously have an ethernet port or software issue. This is a Roku Issue that needs to be resolved. I would like a new Roku Ultra Lite box for my other TV, but I should not have to pay for this and I believe they are not made anymore. OR a new Roku Ultra box. I have bought too many Roku boxes to try and fix this issue or had to take them back. Is there a resolution for this issue yet?543Views0likes1CommentRoku TV Unable to Connect to the Internet
I have had this TV for several months and it has worked just fine. I do not have cable or any sort of paid subscription for TV- never have and not interested now. When I set this TV up, I intentionally did NOT connect it to the internet. I have a high powered antenna installed in my attic with individual cables run to each of the TV's in the house (total of 5). This works BEATUIFUL. I just scan for channels and everything works great! Yesterday, I made the foolish mistake of seeing if I might be able to get some additional free tv by connecting to the internet. But, then, it started looking like I was going to have to put in a credit card and have a paid subscription, so I tried to back out of it and its been nothing but a nightmare ever since. I have done the FACTORY RESET FOUR TIMES, select the IN HOME use and there are still issues. I have selected the * button on LIVE TV and the screen goes BLACK and does nothing. I can select the HOME button and then it reverts back to where it was before the screen went black. I have gone to the LIVE TV and selected "Scan for Channels" and the screen goes BLACK again. Same thing, I can select the HOME button and it goes back to where I was. I have gone to the System Input and then once again, the screen goes BLACK again. Same thing, I can select the HOME button and it goes back to where I was. I then called 1-888-935-8880 listed for ROKU TV Support. I was pleasantly surprised to get a young lady that spoke good English. Spent nearly 30 min on the phone with her. First, she tried to tell me to swap out my antenna. I told her I was not doing that because the antenna was not the issue. It was working just fine for my other 4 TV's because as I mentioned it's a HIGH POWERED antenna installed in my attic w/cabling to each individual TV. Then, after putting me on hold again to ask someone, she came back and said it needed a Firmware update. I'm like WHAT THE ????? How can it need a firmware update when I just want to go back to the way it was WITHOUT connecting to the internet? Let me say this again, I DO NOT WANT TO BE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET IN ANY WAY!!!! I'm about to throw this thing in the trash!!! GOD I MISS THE OLD TV's!!!!! SMART TV'S are NOT SO SMART!734Views0likes1Commentwhat to do when network password unattainable
