Roku Ultra 4850 (2024) Dolby Vision Playback Issues - static/white artifacts
Hi, I have the new Roku Ultra and just replaced my old Roku Ultra 4660X by simply unplugging the HDMI cable from the old one and plugging it into my new one. However, Dolby Vision content on any channel or if it's turned on for the Roku home screen, shows white static artifacts that randomly pop up and disappear on the screen. My setup is a LG OLED CX 77 inch TV which is connected to a Yamaha Aventage 2070 AVR (Dolby Vision 4K capable). My Roku Ultra is connected to the AVR as well as my 4K Blu-ray player. Dolby Vision content plays perfectly fine from the 4K Bluray player to the TV so I don't see any issues with the cable to the TV or the AVR. My old Roku Ultra played 4K HDR content just fine as well on this setup. My new Roku Ultra will also play 4K HDR content just fine if I manually change the display type from the 4K Dolby Vision option to 4K HDR instead. I've tried changing the Auto-adjust display refresh rate and HDR Subsampling settings to see if that would change anything. Sometimes it seems a little better or worse depending. When it's worse, half the screen will display static that flickers on and off randomly. It feels like an HDMI cable issue, but all of my cables are Ultra High Speed and as mentioned earlier, play regular 4K HDR content from the Ultra and Dolby Vision content from the blu-ray player without issues. Thought I would share if anyone has any ideas. I might swap the HDMI cable going to the Ultra just for good measure, hopefully it's not a bug in the new Ultra OS.Solved1.5KViews0likes5CommentsReplaced Roku Ultra with Ultra 2024 CEC Audio adjusts both tv and soundbar instead of just soundbar
Hi. I just bought a Roku Ultra 2024. I'm replacing an earlier model of a Roku Ultra. On my old one, CEC worked properly. If the soundbar was output the roku remote would only adjust the soundbar. On my new player, the remote control audio function is adjusting both the TV volume and the soundbar volume instead of just the soundbar when the soundbar is enabled. I am going to use the older unit in another room, but I haven't reprogrammed the remote yet. It still adjusts the audio correctly on the new Roku 2024 Ultra unit, which obviously leads me to believe it's a remote control setting but I can't find a solution. What am I missing here?Solved1KViews0likes2CommentsPlayer 4670X loosing signal via ARC
I have a Roku Ultra (4670 series) player connected to a samsung sound bar via ARC HDMI connection. From the sound bar, the output goes via HDMI high speed cable to the 4K TV HDMI connection. The signal keeps getting lost, screen goes green or black and comes back. I do have High speed HDMI 2.0 cables. Anyone know if the 4670 is compatible with ARC or know why the signal/connection loss1.3KViews0likes0CommentsRoku express making static/scrubbing noise
I just got a new roku express and when I began using it it makes a weird, loud static type of noise. The noise happens even when then TV is muted, so it’s not coming through the TV speakers. I’ve tried all of the solutions for distorted audio and none of them have helped. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?Solved31KViews2likes7Comments
