Maximum number of streaming devices per account
It appears that the maximum number of streaming devices per account is 20 as I have hit the error stating such, and this was given as an answer to this question 14 years ago in this thread: How many roku player can i link to one account | Roku Community Do you think maybe it's time to up this number? I mean 20, it's not even an exponent? Seems like a very arbitrary and pretty pathetically low number. I have more than 30 Roku devices and have to separate some out to a different account due to this limitation. I mean I have a 3x3 video wall made up of 9 Roku TVs, which is then fed by another Roku streaming device across all 9 TVs. That alone is half of that limit in just one room. In a world where a 43-55" 4K Roku TV is just about the cheapest thing of it's size that you can hang on a wall, even cheaper than a framed poster of a similar size, you'd think that this limitation would be run into pretty consistently. I have a Roku TV or streamer in every room in my house and multiples in some, that I remotely turn on and off dependent on whether a sensor identifies that there is someone in that room. It's pretty easy to hit that limit. Usually smart devices have a limit of some impractically high number, 20 isn't even reasonably high. Maybe this seemed like a high number 15 years ago when Roku was just a separate streaming device and TVs cost considerably more than they do now, but in today's marketplace, it's just not a reasonable limit. Fairly large Roku TVs today cost less than an 8x10" video picture frame did 15 years ago.13Views0likes0CommentsHDCP error on Roku devices
Seems like the last couple months my roku devices have slowly messing up here and there, but usually able to resolve issue. The last month my roku TV, camera etc have lost features Biggest issue is the HDCP just popped up said devices not compatible, took every step out there to factory reset new hdmi cables moving to different ports etc.. Nothing has worked.. COULD IT dang is my tv already outdated. It's not 2 years old but nowadays that's old. If out of nowhere my tv is out of data etc that's not cool I'm not made of money I can't just go buy it a new TV because a update, platform change etc and shuts down TVs so it seems like having to buy a new TV every year is somehow okay or the norm.. Is there issues, updates, something going on to basically turn my smart devices. Plus if I watch everything through my roku TV wifi streaming without extra/external device. I do have stick and tried going through speakers but same message not compatible for HDCP.. I wouldn't be frustrated if this was on and off thing but not even a month and my shows that HDCP that's I've watched no problem, now can not watch them. and don't have to use an hdmi what's that mean. I love any help OTHER THAN THE SAME STEPS OVER AND OVER.. I'd sure appreciate actually help not steps68Views1like1CommentRoku TV Powering On for first time each day
I bought a Roku 40" select 40R3B5/40R3BX for my eldery mom's assisted living apartment. It is hooked only to a simple cable box from Spectrum. I have programmed the Spectrum universal remote with many different codes. One of the codes makes the Spectrum remote work perfectly on both the box and the tv. This is great, because more than one simple remote is too confusing for mom. But, weirdly, every day, the TV must be turned on once with the Roku remote before the Spectrum remote will control the on/off function. Turn the TV on once with the Roku remote, and then it will turn on and off all day with the Spectrum remote. But the next day, same thing. I messed with the power savier and bandwith saver and sleep timer and eventually, it worked well for a few days. Now I can't seem to make it work again. Any ideas?Solved596Views0likes13CommentsHDMI Arc not working
I’m trying to set my Apple HomePod as the TV speaker. I connected the hdmi cable to the arc input and also tried to enable it on settings of TV and Apple TV. At the Roku menu, when I search for CEC devices, the TV don’t find any device connected. Any suggestions? Thanks!23Views1like1CommentRoku Select Series TV sound issues
I'm confused with the sound on the 41 inch Select Series i Bought last month. I have it mounted on a stand so that I can move it in dfferent positions. I have issues with the quaiity of the sound. Especially vocal and conversational sounds. I discovered that the speaker is mounted on the rear of the set and the sound is just perfect. Please tell me why a manufacturer would install a speaker system that is basically backwards.39Views0likes0CommentsGuest Mode is not working. "Unable to connect to server"

I have a TCL Roku TV that I've been using for several years. Today it gives me an on screen error "You'll need to connect your USB to a power source. Visit go.roku.com/usb for more information." The problem is, this isn't a roku usb stick, its a Roku TV. There's no USB to connect to a power source. Everything works fine except for this annoying error message.58Views1like1Comment[14.0] Roku Ultra Bluetooth volume control not working after update
Hi, After my Roku Ultra got updated to Roku OS 14, Bluetooth volume control is no longer working. I could previously control the volume of my Bluetooth headphones with the volume controls on the remote, but after the update, I just get a full circle showing, where I previously saw the volume turning up or down. I can workaround it by using the volume controls on the headphones, but that is much less convenient than using the remote. Is this a known bug? Cheers, Rasmus.Solved3.9KViews1like72CommentsLG TV and Roku Ultra does not default to Roku
This is a new LG TV and Roku Ultra LT. I can turn my TV on with the Roku remote but my TV does not default to the Roku app home screen but the LG home screen. At this point I have to use the LG TV remote to get into the Roku app and everything works as expected. Is there a way around this where I only use one remote, Roku, as I have with my other TVs? Thanks, Peter31Views0likes2Comments
