Roku Live TV has a low-quality resolution
Hi all, My Roku 40" TV has poor quality when using live TV. I haven't had this with previous TVs, including previous Rokus. I only got this TV earlier this year (refurbished), and I don't think it was like this when I first got it. When streaming using the internet, it's fantastic quality. I've tried all the other fixes, including searching for updates and manually changing picture mode and specific settings. I've gotten it to the best quality I can, but it is hampered by the resolution. It looks like 720p at most to be honest I've spent the past 2-3 months looking for a fix and nothing has worked.41Views1like1CommentCan you stretch to fit backdrop pictures to display the full screen?
I have finally figured how to configure backdrops to work on my TCL Roku TV. I created an album of my own photos takes through the years and uploaded 43 pics. But they are all different format sizes (all landscape but still different sizes with different cameras/phones). Some of the pics have a lot of blank area on the sides. Is there an option to “stretch to fit” the picture to use the full TV display area? If not I will need to spend a few hours reformatting all my pics to the correct ratio and reupload them 😞Solved2.3KViews0likes8CommentsWhat is the Photo Stream photo limit?
Hello! I was super excited to see Roku add this personalization feature to Roku, so thank you. The site says you can load 20 pics at a time with a maximum of 1,000 photos. I've uploaded around 600, but when the photo stream screen saver activates, it doesn't deviate from the first few dozen pictures uploaded. Why say there is a limit of 1,000 when the screen saver will only rotate a few dozen? Am I missing a setting? If the limit is so few, why not rescind the language regarding the 1,000 picture limit? Thanks!1.1KViews2likes10CommentsClosed captions turning on
Both of my Roku devices turn on CC (closed Captioning) randomly. It seems like the system software has the coding reversed. The system programming should never default to turn on CC anywhere. It should do the opposite and turn it off. The only time CC should come on is when you manually turn it on CC. This is not a user problem or someone else’s problem. This is a Roku problem. Check your app programming and make sure you are not turning CC on except when the user manually turns it on. I’m not the only one complaining about this.Solved6.7KViews2likes25CommentsIs the Action Smoothing Option has been removed?
