Roku Premiere suddenly turns on the TV
I have a Roku Premiere. When I finish using it I go to the home screen, then select the power option that turns off my television. When I wake up in the morning, or come home from work, or even just come back to the room after taking care of a chore or something, the television will be back on. When I turn the T.V. off with its remote, it will be back on after a while. I have a screen saver set up to cycle pictures when the Roku is idle for 20 minutes or so. Could this be causing the TV to come back on? If so, is there a way to not have that happen and still have a screen saver, and auto on/off functionality through the Roku remote?72Views0likes4CommentsBackdrops error: "Your backdrops have been removed."
For a couple weeks now the backdrops app has been acting up again, and showing false statements such as „your backdrops have been removed“. Even tho I still have my favorite backdrops folder. In addition to this bug the backdrops are no longer automatically starting, like they used to. I have to manually start the app now. Please look into this. The support and maintenance of the backdrops app has been terrible for ever and ALWAYS something has to be broken with it. Roku should either drop this app and discontinue it, or maintain it properly. Im tired of backdrops refusing to work normal for even 2 weeks at a time.184Views0likes6CommentsRoku turns on to a screensaver
When I turn on my ROKU TCL TV, it properly starts with the HDMI-1 setting, but it shows a screensaver instead of the programming. I already disabled the screensaver under "Themes", but it still shows up when I turn on the TV. This is annoying. Am I missing something?62Views0likes2CommentsWhat is the Photo Stream photo limit?
Hello! I was super excited to see Roku add this personalization feature to Roku, so thank you. The site says you can load 20 pics at a time with a maximum of 1,000 photos. I've uploaded around 600, but when the photo stream screen saver activates, it doesn't deviate from the first few dozen pictures uploaded. Why say there is a limit of 1,000 when the screen saver will only rotate a few dozen? Am I missing a setting? If the limit is so few, why not rescind the language regarding the 1,000 picture limit? Thanks!1.1KViews2likes10CommentsPhoto Streams Screensaver Only Showing Most Recent Photos
I have a very large photo library (4000+, 6 selected albums, 9 total) and Photo Streams was working fine until a week ago, when the screensaver has since appeared to only be selecting photos from the amongst the most recent 40 in each album (coincidentally, the same number that appears in the preview scrolls on the app's main page). I decided to deselect all but one album, featuring 300+ images, but the screensaver only displayed the most recent 100 photos in it. I can still access and view all photos and albums, and the problem is the same on both Rokus (4800X, 3811X)—before and after the most recent update.1.8KViews4likes55CommentsSuggestion for Backdrops
I’m really liking the Backdrops app. When you press up or down on the remote directional button, information will appear onscreen. My suggestion is you should be able to control what info appears. I like the info about the current picture that appears at the bottom, especially if the image is of a work of art. I would keep it on all the time. I could do without the info that appears at the top such as “image duration” and “* for options”. That’s information that can be found in settings and just clutters the screen.25Views0likes1CommentRemove "All Things Food" & Others
When I turned on my TV this morning, a huge banner reading "ALL THINGS FOOD" had appeared between the "Home" and "Streaming Store" links on my Roku interface. There are also now three annoying, useless categories under my chosen streaming channels titled "ALL THINGS FOOD," "ALL THINGS HOME," and "SPORTS." I don't need and don't want the moronic, drivel-filled content undoubtedly included in these categories. They're cluttering up my interface and wasting my time since I have to click past them to get to the items I want. Roku, remove these asinine categories now, or provide a way for users to hide them.Solved6KViews12likes17Comments
