Live Channel Disappearing While Watching Show
I have a 65" Roku Pro TV that I have owned for about a year. Recently, about 2 days ago, while watching Roku live tv app, the screen suddenly goes black and the only thing I can do is hit the back button on the remote and start the program again. I have done all the suggested steps in the earlier solved issue - rebooting, resetting, etc. but the problem is still happening. It used to be an occasional problem, but it is now happening more frequently on any channel I am watching, but only on this app. Network connection shows as excellent.0Views0likes0CommentsLive TV Schedule not displaying correct time

Problem with channel guide. Antenna TV
I've had an antenna TV hooked up to my Roku TV for quite some time. Even though all my information doesn't always populate on the channel guide when I first turn on the TV, I can manually retrieve it. As of yesterday I can't retrieve the info for Fox 2 or KMOV (St Louis, Mo). The numbers show on the guide but no info. I have scanned multiple times & live streaming is turned off. My smart TV in the bedroom is fine, so it's not a problem with those stations. Never did this before now.Solved1KViews0likes33CommentsOutdated Roku ads
I would like to talk about something that doesn't get addressed a lot... When a channel on Roku Live TV I'm watching goes into an ad break, I am sometimes still receiving advertisements for other Live TV channels or Roku Originals that are well out of date. Examples include: The 15-second ad for "The Spiderwick Chronicles" that still has the April 19 endtag (meaning it had already premiered on Roku April 19, 2024), two ads for Live TV FAST channel ElectricNOW promoting Women's History Month (which was in March 2025) and the channel's Memorial Day marathon of "The Librarians" (which aired from May 25 to May 31, 2025), an ad the Live TV FAST channel Real Crime promoting "Criminal Minds: Into the Minds of Darkness" from March 8-12, 2025. This is something that has been bothering me these past few years that I've been watching on a Roku TV, and I wonder how long it takes for the ads to finally be updated. - Roy, Roku TV viewer since December 202215Views0likes0CommentsI'm removing my roku and going back to pirating. Here's why...
I've been using Roku for the past couple years. I watch "Live TV" regularly, even though I have and continue to amass a large library of pirated content and subscribe to a couple services. My displeasure with Roku has grown to the point where I am about to pull the plug and am now going back to exclusively pirated content with the exception of a couple subscription services. The mind-numbing repetition of identical commercials promoting other channels. This is the biggest reason. I simply can't bear to watch the same commercial over and over again. It's ridiculous....seriously. Some bug way more than others but the fact is, I am ready to shoot my Roku in to space before having to watch things like "Facts that Matter", the "standup comedy" and the "pew pew pew black tv" commercial again. The list goes on but the fact you guys feel the need to push the same commercials over and over and over and over again is a HUGE reason why I am bailing the service. The depravity of some commercials is not fit for family TV. I am grateful you seemingly don't promote the "Rupal" and other homosexual content anymore but the straw that broke the camel's back is easily having to explain to my small child what "To murder your own mother is particularly depraved..." means, and "Once you kidnap them you either kill them or get caught" Children shouldn't be watching that **bleep** and parent's shouldn't need to explain to their kid what "murdering your own mother" or other heinous crime means. The frequency of commercials is absurd. The thing is 95% aren't even promoting a product which I variably would be ok with. It's the fact that commercials interrupt programming so much it's mind boggling. Again the same self-promoting commercials over and over are the only content usually played. The overtly anti-white, African promotions. BET, Tyler perry, the seemingly countless black shows are racist. We all matter. Our entertainment shouldn't be about promoting any one race. Think about it...is there a "White Entertainment Television" channel? No because that's racist, just like BET or the countless other channels repetitively promoted through commercials. Enough is enough. The DEI agenda is DEAD and capitalizing on racial division is a disgrace to us all. I don't expect things to change immediately but I at least feel like letting you know why myself and others are ditching ROKU and going back to content we can control without having agendas and endless commercials shoved down our throat day after day. Congrats to whoever is in charge of commercials. You have destroyed your brand and burned your customer to the point they are leaving.45Views0likes1CommentLive TV has no picture after selecting the channel
TV screen goes dark at end of program scheduled time. press OK and the screen shows the channel information but no picture. I have to change channel and then go back to previous channel to resore it to see what's on. How is this fixed?39Views1like3CommentsRoku Sunday Leadoff constant disconnecting
At least once every ad break (which means at least 18 times during a baseball game), the Roku Sunday Leadoff broadcast has a playback error. Ridiculous to have to reload it during every break. Seems directly related to the ads, although sometimes it plays a couple ads before crashing. Companies without the proper means to broadcast should not get the rights to broadcast games, especially ones as important as this Giants–Dodgers one. For reference, I'm using The Roku Channel app on a Fire TV, but it also happens when viewing within Safari browser on iOS. Also seen dozens of infuriated Redditors with the same issue, likely watching on all manner of different platforms.14Views1like0Comments
