Reconnecting to the Internet during network setup
Seriously, what witless wonder decided that connecting to the Internet was a requirement to connecting my router device to home network? I have just moved home, Internet not getting installed for a couple of weeks, which is fine. The problem is, I now can't connect to my media server in the meantime, because fecking witless wonder made it impossible for me to connect Roku device to my home network thus, preventing me connecting my old TV to my plex server, via Roku, because it's too fecking simple to make things easy for users. Why does every company have to make everything as sh*t as possible... Because heaven forbid people be without Internet for a week or two for whatever reason. So please, can make so users can connect their Roku devices to their home network, even if their Internet is nor available.
Roku Remote Universal Feedback
On a Samsung Smart TV we can use a universal remote to control the Spectrum TV app why don’t you guys add support for Universal remotes because with a Universal remote we could control our Spectrum TV just like we would if we were using a cable box remote only instead of a cable box it would work threw the Spectrum TV App so if we type in a channel number it would go to the station if we click guide on the universal remote it would load the Spectrum TV guide it makes it easier because we don’t need to scroll threw all the channels to find a channel we want we can just type in the channel number you could even make a Roku remote that was compatible with Spectrum TV if you didn’t want to add support for universal remotes
Streaming Stick 4K remote won't pair
I just purchased the Streaming Stick 4K and cannot get the remote to pair. I have tried powering off and on, taking batteries out, etc. I cannot get the remote to sync to be able to use the system. We have used the non 4K stick before (3810X) with no issues. Roku no longer offers a stick that isn't 4K, so I purchased this one. I have an Emerson LTDN42V68US television (42" Class LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV). From everything I have looked at, I think it should support this stick. Does anyone have any tips? Is my TV not compatible with this stick? I really hope I don't have to go to down to the Express. I prefer the stick so my kids don't lose it.
