You did a much better job explaining the process to fix the “can’t find my app after I installed it” problem. I don’t know why Roku support can’t figure it out yet. I think I waisted 2-3 hours with them until I finally had an epiphany and tried the Roku app on the phone. I’m glad it worked for you and I hope it helps many others. Great job! Re: Can’t Add App to Home Screen I hope this reaches you before you do a reset. I think a reset would be a royal pain. Posted a fix a couple of months ago that worked for me, but I don’t see it online now. I have a Roku device and not a Roku TV, so I don’t know if this will work for a TV. Probably worth a try before a reset. I called Roku, chatted with them and even asked online and found no help. In fact they seemed a bit brain dead and just repeated the same script which doesn’t work. Download the Roku app for your phone and sign in. You’ll be able to see the app you added there and then you can remove it. That will allow you to add it again on your device. After doing that it finally showed up. Good luck! Re: Apps are missing from the home screen I found a resolution that worked for me with my Roku Ultra and hopefully it will help you too! I too installed an app that didn't show up on the home screen menu, so I chatted with Roku tech for help and spent a couple hours of frustration with four different people that had no clue how to help me. They would tell me to remove it and reinstall it, however that isn't possible to do on the device when you can't see the icon on the menu. I could search for the app to find it and use it, but there was no option to uninstall. I also went to the Roku website to see if that offered an option to uninstall and then reinstall, no luck. The only thing I could think of was to try a factory reset and hope that it would resolve the problem, but I wasn't looking forward to reinstalling all of the apps again and then having to log in to every app. So, dragging my feet a little gave me the opportunity to have an epiphany. I remembered that there is an official Roku app that I installed on me iPhone some time ago that I never really used. That was the secret! That app allowed me to select the Roku device I was having the problem with and then view the apps installed. I found the app that didn't show on my Roku device and it allowed me to uninstall it, after which I reinstalled it. Walla! That solved the problem for me. I hope this helps you too! Re: Apps are missing from the home screen I have the same problem as your experiencing. I spent several hours with different Roku technicians chatting and none of them could help me. Even though it's a pain to do, I think the only option is to try a factory reset. Don't expect any help from Roku people.
