If you have a clean flat surface, then you can just use the adhesive, it is pretty strong. Re: Question about the subscription Without the subscription, you will be limited to still pictures of events from the app. You can still get full video access through a memory card, BUT the chip needs to be removed and inserted to a computer to access it. Re: Home Monitoring System - 2 Homes on One App you can setup multiple devices at multiple locations and use the same account. just beware that anyone who has access to that account will have access to all the devices. edit. This is for the cameras etc. i have not tried the home monitoring devices, so not sure. it is probably limited to 1 hub per account, so it wouldnt work. Re: Features available with Self Monitoring I have had it installed for a few days now. those 2 seem to be the only things that require professional monitoring. everything else works. I get notifications when door sensors are triggered (even if not armed) and notifications of the alarm status changed (armed away, armed home, unarmed). Re: Help connect my Roku outdoor camera SE to my TV install the roku camera app to your roku TV. This will give you access to live feeds of all your cameras. Re: Running live and unable to view clearly at night in dark room If you goto the settings>advanced settings for the camera, you can adjust the nightvision. They usually see pretty clear color in low light, but if not, then you need to turn on the nightvision. Re: Is Smart home capable of PIP? There is a pop up picture if someone rings the doorbell while your watching something else. but not for just motion. Re: Using Smart Home app on 2 different phones it is possible, but you will need to share the login and use the same account/settings Re: video question about camera recording features If you have a SD card, then it can record continuously until memory is full, then starts recording over the oldest clips. It does this in small clips (1 minute i think) The cloud storage keeps clips of motion (based on your settings). It will record motion for up to a set amount (again, accorfing to your settings). After each motion event there is another setting for "cool Down" period when it will not record until that time has passed. This, again, can be adjusted in your settings. Re: Help connect my Roku outdoor camera SE to my Google home hub you can use Google home to turn the cameras on/off, but I am pretty sure that is all. I have tried to display them on my Google home screen and it says not supported.
