model #3920x not connecting to wifi, router has excellent signal strength, was working fine, then showed either no signal or very low signal one bar. unplugged, reset no help
Hi @jcaudill0,
Thanks for the post.
We would recommend checking out our Support page regarding your device showing Low Signal Strength here: What should I do if I see the "Low signal strength" message?
Thanks,
Mary
I've run into this here several times. This has always worked for me:
If that doesn't fix it, try disconnecting the power to your Roku for a few seconds. When it comes back up, see if you then can set up the network connection.
Did this happen after the system update? Mine did too.
I have been on the phone with Comcast, upgraded my speed and purchased a new Max-Stream D-Band Mesh Router and my two 3920x Roku Streaming sticks will not connected even the one that is 5 ft away from the router in the next room it will not connect and this is beyond frustrating. Guess I have to spend more money and replace them 🤬
Thanks for the post.
Have you ensured your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to? The Roku Express/Premiere is only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum.
Please keep us posted and we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
