From your Roku device, go to Settings/Systems/About or Settings/Network/About.

An IP address will be assigned after a connection to the network. (LAN IP address will be assigned to your Roku device after it connects to your Router.)

To add to what @AvsGunnar said, if you're trying to use the app to control your Roku device you can't do that until it's connected to your network.
