Maybe. Or... If it's a Roku Express (you didn't say which device you had) then it's 2.4 GHz only, and some ISPs who furnish wireless routers have been changing settings from 802.11 b/g/n to g/n, which will cause the Roku Express to not connect.
Settings > System > About will show you the model number, as well as OS version/build.
