Help me, at all times the wireless network on my Roku AOC loses its connection. I have to open Roku TV settings to "check the connection", just to go back again. It happens every 5 minutes, if I don't have any apps open (netflix, youtube)
Wheb I'm on the "antenna" or HDMI TV, I always lose a connection, and sometimes I need to use the remote control on my cell phone. It's been stressful.
My router is very close to the TV, I already reset all the factory settings, SSID and turned off the router's source too, but there's no way.
So you are say the connection with the router goes off?
Can you use Ethernet cable instead of wifi?
As if disconnecting, but I have to open the settings to be able to have the internet again, but it is already connected.
The internet cable never got to connect, my devices are all connected to the wireless network.
See if moving the router or the Roku device (whichever is easier) away from each other helps. You may just be getting some amplified interference by being too close to the router. Can also try switching the band you are using if you have a seperate 2.4gz and 5gz network configured. The RokuTvs are capable of using either band.
Another option on the RokuTvs is to enable Fast Start in the Settings. This usually helps with dropped network connections.
You can also try to Refresh your Network Settings from within the RokuTv by Resetting your Network connection. Settings...Systems...Advanced System Settings...Network Connection Reset. (will have to select network and enter password after automatic reboot, or manual System Restart)
If the above persists, then may need to explore possible router or ISP(internet) issue or configuration.
See if any of the above helps.
I had the same issue with my Roku Premier+. It worked great for about a year i.e. it would load up a channel or program quick e.g. FSTV, HULU or ESPN+, but these last 3 months, it was slow loading and there were constant "loading" interruptions - very annoying. Roku would indicate on my TV that there was 0 MBPS. I knew that was bull cookies because I checked my internet speed at the same time and it was over 200 MBPS. I chatted (on-line) with Roku and they couldn't figure it out so they said they would sent me remedies via email. I never received a thing from them. I figured the Roku box got semi fried overtime so I upgraded to Roku Stream bar. Bam!!! That thing loads up the channels and shows within seconds with no interruptions. So I believe my theory that the mini Roku Premier+ box was semi fried is correct.
Could be, can't discount a failed device theory, but the Streambar also operates on the faster 5gz band. (little less congested) Would be interested to know if you can get your Streambar to connect to your 2.4gz network. (the 2.4 is where the Premiere operates) and how it functions. (if willing to test)
Sidenote: A family member is giving me an extra bar they received at Christmas (they were not sure if it is Streambar or Soundbar) so looking forward to seeing how it works as compared to my other players. Supposedly it behaves similarly to the streaming sticks in performance.
