I had poor connection speed from the main router. Added another router for just the Roku. Recognizes it but will not connect Cells, tablets and laptops connect fine, just not the Roku.

If using second router solely for roku, creating separate network, verify it has a gateway (LAN IP) different than first router.  (ie. 192.168.0.1 and other 192.168.1.1).  If trying to use the second router solely as an extender/router, you may have to verify your first router is in bridge mode to limit to modem.

Further, make sure the channels and bandwidth settings under the Wireless Settings of second router are compatible with the Roku.  Also verify all radio bands are enabled and broadcasting. Use different SSID if maintaining seperate networks.

Also, what are the Roku device model numbers and router model(s)?

Edited... You should be able to switch between the two routers (the two seperate network SSIDs) from within Roku easily in Network Setup.  I would suggest using different wireless channels in order to minimize interference/congestion. (ie don't use same channel on first router and second router)

it sees the new modem network but will not connect. signal is fine--working on one of the three roku devices I have also working on computer, ipad  and phone.

this did not work to connect the 2 rokus. one of them shows it could not connect with the old network even though I selected the new network with passwordl

It can sometimes be pretty difficult to get two wireless routers setup to use and show multiple seperate networks and work properly.  Various settings across router brands and types specific to setting up properly. (And some routers lack capability altogether).  Easiest method is connect the two routers via an ethernet cable.  Run ethernet cable from Router 1 LAN port to Router 2 WAN(or Internet) port.  As long as Router 2 gateway is different than Router 1, [Router 1 = 192.168.0.1 and Router 2 = 192.168.1.1], then it should technically give you 2 seperate networks with the possibility of 4 connections. (excluding guest networks).  Should give you Router 1  2.4ghz  and 5ghz network, and a Router 2 2.4ghz and 5ghz network.  The network SSIDs need to be different but the passwords can be the same across network. (ie Router 1 = name1_2.4ghz and name1_5ghz, but Router 2= name2_2.4ghz and name2_5ghz)

If you are using same-branded routers, most likely the gateways are the same and will have to be manually changed.

You have to verify the basics first.  Make sure all devices connect to Router 1 first.  Then setup Router 2 to mirror Router 1 Wireless Settings. (excluding gateway LAN IP address).  Then tweak Router 2 settings as needed for performance.

Post back what Roku device is connecting, and what Roku devices are not connecting and what your network settings and channels are. (what band are you using to connect).
