Wireless & Wired Connections

If mobility is not an issue, then a hardwired connection is always superior to a wireless one.

The reason is that wireless transmissions suffer from a lot of distortion and loss. This loss reduces the overall speed of information. Also, wireless data is susceptible to interference, whereas a wired connection is less so.

For instances where you need high bandwidth and low latency, like playing video games or streaming a HD video, then a hard wired connection is almost always better. If you're just browsing the web then a wireless one will do.
