I just cut the cord from cable and started streaming. I use Roku 4k express, a verizon box and a firestick. They are all wireless and I find the Roku superior in speed and the ability to show progress when I am fast forwarding. I have a great wireless signal and Gigabit internet. My question, is it worth it to buy one of the Roku wired boxes? I can't get one at Walmart for $30 more than I paid for the wireless. Is it even faster? Better Picture? I have all 4k TVS, it takes about 2 seconds to change/load channels on the wireless roku. I'm streaming mostly ATT TV but also HBOMAX and Netflix.

The only benefit you'll get from a wired Roku device, which would be the Ultra, are all bells and whistles type of things. There will be no speed bump.
Of course, any wireless network is subject to a brief outage from interference caused by other devices on the same band/channel. The dual band devices may reduce the chance of that, but you already have one based on the name you gave (the model 3940 is actually called Roku Express 4K). I don't think spending the money is worth it, unless you want the better remote. Then, I'd consider the Express 4k+ or the Streaming Stick+. Or, the Streambar, if you wanted to upgrade the sound on your system.

FYI, the Express 4K/4K+ (models 3940/3941) support USB ethernet - you can get a USB ethernet adapter and used wired connectivity.
