Having buffering issues on WiFi on both my Ultra 3 and weak signal on my laptop. Replacing the Ultra 3 with my old Roku 2 makes the problem go away, getting greater that 100Mbps. Got a WiFi analyzer for my phone and I see an unnamed channel right on top of mine no matter the channel only with the Ultra 3. I assume this is for the remote. Why is it on the same channel? That seems so obviously bad. Is there a way to fix this?
You had me curious so looked in the forums. Figured it was probably just the remote signal like you did since it appeared on any channel you changed.

As you can see, it looks like it can really affect some routers/access points more than others.
Hope this helps.
Yeah, this is really an old topic. I have no idea why it affects some but not others. I believe the remote must be on the same channel as the Wi-Fi connection since there's only one radio. There's no such thing as an "Ultra 3", so I assume you either have a Roku 3 or an Ultra. Either way both models support a wired connection. I'd suggest you go that route, but you could also try both 2.4 and 5GHz and see if one is better than the other.
