WiFi Connectivity Issues with Roku Box

I recently noticed an issue with our Roku device. We have had the same Roku box for years now and it’s just now decided to stop connecting. At first it said our Internet box was too far away creating low signal strength, so we moved the box directly behind the TV and occasionally get the same error. Most of the time it just says unable to connect. I have reset my Internet countless times, and factory reset my Roku device three times as well. Sometimes it will connect but nothing will load. I have a Roku TV upstairs (farther away from the Internet) and have had no issues whatsoever with Internet connection. No other device in the house has been unable to connect, and the Internet efficiency works well with everything except the Roku box downstairs. I’m not sure what else to try, i’ve read nearly every article and tried every reset programming I have seen. I’m thinking it might be time to try something else, so i’m looking for advice here before I do.

What is the model number of the problem Roku device (found under Settings/System/About) and what is your router model number?

Have you tried connecting the Roku device to a mobile hotspot (if available to you), using the 2.4ghz band of your hotspot? (may need to enable "maximize compatibility" under your hotspot settings in unable to select individual bands).

Are you seeing any error "numbers" in the on-screen message box when unable to connect?
