I have a model 3920x roku premiere. Any time it picks up my wifi internet it’s only 1 bar of strength. The same goes for when I make my phone a hot spot. I’ve never had this issue before it’s been going on for about a year. I have 3 other rokus and no other devices are having the same issues. I’ve tried resetting the roku and router still doesn’t work.
Sounds to me like your Roku is too far away from your router. If it’s possible move them closer. Keep in mind you have a budget Roku. If you purchase a Roku Streaming Stick 4K it has the ability to stream long range. The 3920 was released in 2018
It’s right next to the router. I know it’s the older model but why would it just stop working and connecting? My tablet from 2012 connects just fine.
Hello @Acov44
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community!
Please be advised that Roku Premiere 3920 is only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to.
You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.
Let us know how it goes.
All the best,
Kariza

Because 3920s are **bleep**. Worst Roku device I've ever owned.
@renojim It’s a budget model. But I agree. I always buy the better models. Roku Streaming Stick 4K or Ultra
Off topic of op's post, but do you have any plans for the CLOC screensaver or is it just dead now? I ask because it was the absolute BEST clock screensaver. I have not found a decent replacement & my whole family asks multiple times a week about the status of "CLOC." We had it on 5 tvs for years. Anyway, I just wanted to know if you had any plans on it or if we should just give up hope, haha.
@anhrdh You can post this request somewhere else. This topic is about Wi-Fi connections
I am aware of that, hence me noting 'off topic of op' (and I have posted elsewhere) I simply was asking the developer a question.
