Hello! For some reason my Roku Express is no longer detecting wifi. Wifi is working fine. Have tried rebooting router and restarting the Roku several times. Guidance?
What is the model number of your Express?
Settings...System..About.... Model #
Also when you go to Settings...Network.... does selecting SCAN AGAIN help?
Is your Express seeing the Network, but not connecting; or is the Express not seeing the Network.
All the Express models operate on your 2.4gz band of the network, so need to make sure it is Enabled and broadcasting. You may have to reconfigure some router/network configurations (do you know how to configure your router?)
Model # Roku Express HD streaming 2019
I have tried scan again MULTIPLE times. It is not seeing my network, but my network is working fine. Nothing has changed, just ceased to find network.
I have not changed anything on my router. I do not know how to configure my router. But I don't know why I'd need to, because nothing has changed.

I am assuming then you have the Express 3930 .(If you had gone to the Settings, as suggested, it should have provided that info...not provided the results Roku Express HD.) In order to troubleshoot, you kind of have to follow the suggestions provided or you are going to have difficulty resolving the problem.
Although you have not changed anything on your router, some routers have automatic settings that manage your network. Sometimes these automatic settings change themselves, or are no longer optimized for your needs. Almost all routers are dual band, they have both a 2.4gz band and a 5gz band. For the Express to work, you have to verify that the 2.4gz band of your network is enabled and broadcasting (maybe look for an LED at your router showing you this is happening). You also need that 2.4gz to be broadcasting on a frequency channel from within the router 1 through 11. I would also assume the default protocols in your router are b/g/n. If you are able to manually configure, verify, and change these settings, then easier to rule out a network vs device issue. If any of these things got changed (even w/o your knowledge or you physically doing anything), it will affect your Express seeing the 2.4gz network and vice-versa.
Assuming network is working properly, you have really two options left since you have rebooted router and your Express repeatedly w/o success.
1. Try disabling the Device Connect feature from within Roku. (Settings..System..Advanced System Settings...Device Connect...Disable Device Connect). Then do a System Restart of your Roku Express.
If that fails, then do a factory reset of your Express. (Settings..System..Advanced System Settings...Factory Reset.) CAUTION: make sure you have a working Roku Remote if you do this. This is kind of a last resort though since you have to go through Setup again.
You really need to verify that your 2.4gz network is broadcasting though. This is your first step in troubleshooting the problem. Without this verification, you are going in circles. Need to narrow down network issue or device issue.
Post back your progress and maybe others have some more suggestions for you.
I purchased this roku express in Dec 2018 and it stopped detecting our 2.4 WiFi last night. I went through every step I researched on the internet, including going as far as enabling network ping (hit home 5 times, fast forward, play, rewind, play, fast forward) and nothing has resolved this issue. It finds no WiFi networks, yet all my other devices find and connect with no problems.
Is there a way to determine if this roku WiFi function has failed/broke rather than me wasting anymore time on this??
For your particular issue, you have to confirm that your Roku is capable of seeing your router SSID (network name).
Try the following steps:
1. Login to your router admin. Verify under your 2.4Ghz Wireless Settings that the the Radio is Enabled and SSID is broadcasting. Also verify that you have a wireless channel set between 1 and 11 (not Auto), the mode/protocol is get to g/n or n, and Bandwidth/Channel Width is 20Mhz. [All these setting should be under the same 2.4Ghz Wireless Settings page - you may have to select Advanced Settings to see and change them] Make sure to press Save and Apply settings after changing these settings.
2. Restart both your router and Roku Express. From within Roku Express, navigate to Network Setup (Settings..Network...Setup Connection.) You may have to press Scan Again to see Networks a few times to refresh the list. If this fails, then step 3.
3. Navigate to Settings...System..Advanced System...Network Connection Reset...Reset Network Connection. This will automatically reboot Roku again. Then go back to step 2. (Network Setup)
Try the above and post back with an update. If you can provide your router model number and your Roku Express model number, may prove useful. Certain routers have different settings affecting connection. Screenshots are also helpful of any settings or errors also help if you can.
Normally, just doing a simple restart of both the Roku device and the router is all that is necessary to establish reconnection. Other times, have to manually change the settings in the router to prevent/mitigate disconnections again.
I just found a very, very old roku in my pile of old computers, devices, etc. I think it is about 10 or more years old. I tried this and low and behold it detects our WiFi and connected with no trouble. Problem is it doesn’t have YouTube or any other channels we want to watch :(. Therefore why the h... is this newer one I purchased in Dec 2018 not detecting our WiFi??
Thanks Avsgunner, but as I explained in my opening post, I did every single resolution out there, so yes I did all the things you stated. Please also see my other post about my very old roku working. Now maybe you can answer the question I had - is there a way to determine if the roku WiFi function is broke within the roku??
Post the model of the 10yr old Roku device. Settings...System...About
It could be operating on the 5Ghz network of your network. The Roku express from 2018 is only capable of 2.4Ghz operation.
From the 10yr old Roku, navigate to Settings..Network..About (What is the Wireless Channel showing that it is operating on?)
We need specific model numbers to determine the differences between the Roku devices.
I have a feeling you are using a merged network with a single SSID which is probably causing the issue you are having.

In response to your specific question "Now maybe you can answer the question I had - is there a way to determine if the roku WiFi function is broke within the roku??", you can either try to connect it to a hotspot, or take the Roku device to another location (friend, neighbor, parent) and see if you can connect there. If it connects to either hotspot or another network, then wifi receiver and/or internal antenna are working properly. (For both tests above, you have to connect to the 2.4Ghz network band, for both hotspot and wi-fi).
The 10+ year old roku is using and only detects the 2.4 WiFi SSID, pretty sure 5Ghz didn’t exist when I purchased this very old roku. The model number of this very old roku is 3050x and software version is 4.9 - build 5060.
As stated, I tried changing the channel on my router for the 2.4 from 6 to 1 and lastly 11. I left it on radio channel 11, therefore this is obviously what channel the old roku is using.
I am unable to try this since I do not have neighbors, is there any other way to determine the functionality of the 2018 roku?
The model number of the newer 2018 roku is 3900X - Roku Express and software version 10.0.0 - build 4209-51. I checked last update which showed 7/1 and last checked was 7/9 - so this shows it was connected yesterday.
