The pairing button is inside the battery compartment.  If there isn't one there then you have an IR remote that doesn't require pairing (and doesn't work with sticks).

What remote do you have?

By the way, the app cannot connect to the Roku device (box, stick, TV, anything) until the Roku device is on the network. You need a remote. So, which new remote did you get? What's the name of it on the box?

I have the microphone remote to my roku stick, it came with the stick

The Roku Voice Remote is what is included with the recent sticks. The Roku Voice Remotes are compatible with all Roku TVs.

Is your original Roku TV remote no longer functional? If it is, then you should be able to use the instructions in the "Pair your voice remote later" section of the "How to set up your Roku Voice Remote" page.

If your original Roku TV remote is not functional, you'll have to follow the "Pair your Voice Remote during setup" section.
