I have a Roku Streaming Stick 4k (3820eu model).
Can anyone confirm whether this should support 5ghz wifi? I noticed it says MIMO Dual Band Wifi on the box, however it doesn't pick up my 5ghz network, even when it has it's own SSID.
I believe all Roku devices only support channels available in the US - even EU models. That being said, Roku devices that support 5GHz don't support DFS channels. That basically means you can only use channels 32 to 48 or 149 to 161. I don't know about channels above 161, but I would bet they're not supported. And forget about setting your channel to "Auto".

Amazing, thanks.
Changed channel to 48 and appeared straight away!
The nine 5 GHz channels supported by Roku devices are 36, 40, 44, 48, 149, 153, 157, 161, and 165.
The channels assigned to the 5 GHz band in ranges 50-64 and 100-144 are shared with other uses such as military, radar, and weather. These channels are termed DFS (dynamic frequency selection) channels and routers are supposed to automatically switch to a different channel if they detect one of these channels is in use in your area. Roku and many other home use devices don't support these DFS channelsl.
Many home routers don't include DFS channels, but some do. Make sure your router is not using these DFS channels, or an auto select option that could choose a DFS channel.
