I have 2 Roku Ultra devices. Both updated recently - one on 11/4 and the other on 11/5- to version 10.5.0 Build 4198
Since then, when the system is idle the screensaver will stop after awhile and the tv screen shows No Signal. If I press the home screen button, it immediately reconnects to the signal and the home screen comes up.
It seems like a problem with the screensaver. It never did this before the update.
I don't see any settings available other than the screensaver wait time to wait before the screensaver activates. Nothing that would limit the length of time it stays on.
Some Roku devices now have an additional "Power Savings" feature implemented in OS 10.5 update.
Navigate to Settings...System...Power and Uncheck to Disable this feature. (20min inactivity).
Post back with an update if this resolves your issue and your Roku model number. (Settings...Systems..About)
Same issue on our Ultra 4800X, only it never shows the screensaver, just goes straight to "no signal" since the 10.5 update - and also goes straight to "no signal" when powering on, until we hit the home button. Roku really needs to make available a rollback feature if they're not going to thoroughly check their updates before rollout. I just unchecked the power savings feature, hopefully that will fix it.
@greenwillow, look for a "power saving" setting under Settings->System->Power and disable it. See if that fixes your problem.
So far this seems to have worked. Thank you! 🙂
