Roku express worked great for 4 months in same hotel. All of a sudden stopped working, hotel support can see the device but still will not connect. All I get is error number 014.30 and 014.50. Any help would be epic! Thank you.
Thank you for the added information, @Jp17.
No worries! We'll help you connect to your Hotel's network connection.
Initiate the connection
Authenticate the connection
Please take note that you have several minutes to authenticate. If the network setup times out, select Try again to initiate the connection again.
After the connection is authenticated, your Roku device will return to the Network menu. The Network name should match the network for the hotel or college dorm, and the Status should say Connected.

If the hotel can see your device, then it seems that it is connecting to the network. You are likely dealing with the known issue that some 2.4ghz devices (like the Roku Express models with any model number other than 3960) have with connecting to the internet through some cable ISP networks/routers. (especially with the 14.30 error).
On a router you control, often changing the "wireless mode" to b/g/n will allow all different speed protocols to be used and the Roku will usually be successful in connecting to both the network and accessing the internet.
The easiest remedy is to just purchase a dual-band Roku device. (the new Express 3960 is dual band, as well as the Express 4k 3940 and Express 4k+ 3941). Basically, all the newer Roku devices listed on Roku's webiste are now dual band, so eliminates the single-band 2.4ghz issue mentioned above that affects some users).
Two workarounds (if unable to get a new device) is to either use a mobile hotspot (not ideal since it uses your data), and the other is to use your laptop as an "ad-hoc" hotspot. With this setup, you basically use your laptop to connect to the hotel wifi, and then connect your Roku device to the laptop. (essentially, laptop poses as a hotspot and shares the internet connection. (this should also negate the 2.4ghz issue since you are connecting to the laptop, not the network router).
If you are a Windows 10/11 user, you can look at these two links that explain the pretty simple procedure for setting it up.

There are a few different ways to do it if using Linux and is a bit distro specific (regarding terminal commands) but pretty similar to the Windows setup. Feel free to reach out if needing help with setting up via Linux.
Hello! @Jp17,
A friendly welcome from the Roku Community!
We appreciate you reaching out to us. We're pleased to assist.
If you're seeing that error it is a connectivity issue. Please Restart your router and Roku device.
Thanks,
Arjiemar
All other devices connect without issue. No changes have been made. Hotel tech support claims my roku express is visible on their end. I have restarted, unplugged and every other option of reboot the device offers countless times only to arrive at the same result, unable to connect. I do not have access to the hotel's router. My next step is a factory reset.

The hotel / dorm connect is not an issue. I have searched related topics with the same results. Restart, reboot and unplug seems to be the same fix for all problems. Well it's not working in this instance. The error message is the same after every reboot. This has been going on for over a week. The obvious has been tried. I'm no doctor but I'm loosing my patience

AvsGunnar,
You're the king! Thank you for an actual helpful response. I purchased a 4k+ and it works like a champ! My 3930x I bought a year ago was obsolete before I got it out of the box. Thank you again and hope you have an awesome holiday!!!
