Hello I just moved and trying to get up my tv to the Wi-Fi but lost my remote is there any way I can connect with my phone if I have the app ? Or do I gotta buy a new remote ?

Basically you have to buy a new remote.  If you have any Roku other than a stick that plugs directly into the TV without a cable you can get away with a cheap universal remote.  If you can configure your new Wi-Fi to match your old Wi-Fi (same SSID/network name and password) then your Roku device should connect to it.

You don't say which model.

New remote less hassle than hacking SSID.

Non-stick Roku can have a cheap clone IR remote or a 3rd party universal one.

Sticks need voice remote or pro (latter may be worth it anyway for any Roku..rechargeable and has lost remote finder).

Certain IR models (clone or official) can control TV volume and power too. (Onn Roku RC-ELIR model--a bit hard to find, eBay only.  Not Amy RokuTV remote unless the device is actually a TV).
