Seeing wireless network on setup, correct password not connecting still.

Just got an Express model and trying to connect it. I am seeing my network on the screen and I am putting in the correct password. The Roku is showing up on my network connections on my PC and on my router but will not connect to the wireless. I am using a router that is feeding a wireless extender with good signal but still nothing. I enabled ping through the secret settings and tried that with a reboot. Nothing. Tried manually entering the network name with correct password. Still nothing. Everything else connects to my signal with no problems at all so it has to be something with this. Any suggestions?

Is your wireless password just letters and numbers? There's been past reports of users that can't enter special characters ($, #, @, etc.) I've also heard of users having issue with WiFi extenders, when the Roku can connect to the main wireless without issue. 

Since you're still on the initial setup, some users have had success using a phone hotspot to connect to the Internet and complete the setup. Then once it's completed, they've been able to connect to the home network without an issue. It doesn't make any logical sense, but for whatever reason it seems to work.
