Roku won’t connect to Wi-Fi even after factory reset

Help. My Roku wont connect to Wi-Fi after several attempts with shutting down and restarting both router and Roku. I did a factory reset and it still will not connect.

I show a strong connection for Wi-Fi but it won’t connect and get a weird code of error 014.30.

I have tried everything.

Do you have Comcast/Xfinity or Cox as your ISP?  If so, ensure your Wi-Fi wireless mode is set to b/g/n and not g/n.

For Xfinity:
https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/change-wifi-mode-admin-tool-xfinity-xfi

It would help to know the model number of your Roku device displayed under Settings->System->About.

Re: Roku won’t connect to Wi-Fi even after factory reset

I have this exact same problem, and this sounds like the only solution that might work so far, but I'm unsure how to change my wifi mode from g/n to b/g/n. Any tips or I fo on how to do this?

Re: Roku won’t connect to Wi-Fi even after factory reset

@LongDistance it depends on your equipment how you change modes or channels. If you have Comcast and lease your modem from them, you might be locked out of those settings and you'll need to contact Comcast support for assistance. Just let them know you need the 2.4 GHz radio mode set to B/G/N, and they should know what to do from there.

I do not. I have AT&T Fiber.
