Roku needs help connecting to the internet. Where are you?
I can’t connect my wifi extender to the internet. It is a netgear purchased a couple years ago. All lights on extender are green. I’ve tried several different plug in locations. My router is about 60 ft away from the tv my roku premiere is hooked up to. Roku finds it in available networks. I try connecting and it says “roku needs assistance connecting….where are you” I select “at home”. It shows it connects and shows good to excellent connection but it acts like there is no connection. Any help? Thanks

Your problem may have been caused by a recent update to your router that affects some Roku models. This has been reported lately with equipment from Comcast/Xfinity and Cox, but there may be others.
Affected users report their Roku locates the network and reports the connection strength but then fails to connect. The solution is to reconfigure the router to switch it from g/n wifi protocols set by the update back to b/g/n. If you don't have access to your router's control panel you may have to have your internet provider do it for you.
